We frequent Van'a Steakhouse most of the time, once to twice a week! Their food & service has always been good. The service is very personable! They have at least four to five specials! Their banquet room comes in real handy for birthdays, anniversaries, meetings & a meet & greet! Last but not least the pies are home made, inches of fluff you know that word I cannot spell! Go see for yourself & pick your favorite special & let the world know! I have several, Envy Salad, chicken fried steak & meatloaf just to name a few!

We tried this place for the first time and loved it! We had chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken. Both were excellent as were the mashed potatoes, green beans, roll, and chocolate pie. Great service too!

I'm not sure how they came about to calling themselves a "steakhouse" because the place looks more like a cafeteria. *shrug*Otherwise...The staff was friendly. The food was fast, hot, and delicious. Portions were generous. I would go there again.

I don't understand all the positive reviews on this place. Very clean, staff friendly, service is good. However....a place calling itself a 'steak house' that serves instant potatoes, canned green beans, canned gravy...the food was mediocre and tasteless at best. It should also come with a 'non wheelchair friendly' warning. Could barely navigate to the counter to order...bathroom is impossible for someone in a chair...very narrow hall, very tiny bathrooms (they were very clean, tho!). Have tried eating at several Baxter Springs restaurants, and most are like eating in a retirement home...premade or canned, no spices, just bland bland bland. It's not that hard or time consuming to make real mashed potatoes or gravy....could explain why we were the only customers on a Satruday afternoon.

Food and service was good. Only the salad was a little old but still fine

The owners are good friendly people. They serve great meals.

If I could give it 10 stars I would excellent all the way around. We had chicken fried chicken. All I can say is OMG excellent food unlike chain restaurants. Wish I hadn’t spent 30 years between visits!

I stopped in at this steakhouse while traveling and it was very delicious and the service was great. I had a great 8oz sirloin; I asked for medium and it was perfect. The baked potato was super hot served and delicious. The dinner salad was just ok but I didn’t go to a steakhouse for salad! Overall, I was five star pleased! The only oddity was prepaying, but that might the way things are in this part of the country to mitigate loss so I didn’t have any concern.

The food is not worth the price. It is very expensive and most of the food here tastes like it came from a freezer and thrown in a fryer. They need to lower their prices or offer a better quality menu. Also, management is very hateful to their staff right in front of customers. Makes for an awkward atmosphere.
